Emsworth Sailing Club centenary

Celebrations for the oldest club in Chichester Harbour

Emsworth Sailing Club will celebrate its centenary this year, by holding events including a regatta, a sail past, moonlight race, kayak events, beer festival and a vintage tea party.

The juniors, who make up 20% of the membership, will take part in a carnival, swimming gala, crabbing competition and a sail to and BBQ on Fowley Island.

The launch was attended by 150 sailors, including eight commodores. Over the years, the club has trained Olympic contenders and national champions, as well as Admiral of the Fleet, Lord Louis Mountbatten, and round-the-world yachtsman Sir Peter Blake.
