Portsmouth Sail Training Trust seeking Volunteeers

Portsmouth Sail Training Trust (PSTT) is a charity based in the Historic Dockyard and works with the disadvantaged young people in Portsmouth.

Portsmouth Sail Training Trust works with young people from Portsmouth’s most socially deprived areas to engage them in sail training to develop essential life skills and raise their aspirations.

Volunteering with PSTT is both inspirational and rewarding. Seemingly very small things can make an enormous difference to the lives of our young people.
Our programmes aim to break the unemployment cycle, especially for young people who are not thriving in the classroom.

We run weekly 3hr sailing sessions during term times – both in school hours and after school and are looking for volunteers to take young people sailing in our fleet of squibs.

You need not necessarily be an RYA Instructor – we just need competent sailors with a desire to help develop young people. We are also seeking people to assist with office functions and clerical support. You will be fully supported with training given. We also cover all reasonable travel expenses.
